Synopsis

Jimmy Livingston (Gyllenhaal, Brokeback Mountain) has had all the same experiences of other kids growing up...except that he lives in a bubble! Jimmy is quite content to spend his life in this manufactured world created by his well-intentioned mother (Kurtz) until he meets Chloe (Shelton), the girl next door. When he discovers that she's about to be married, Jimmy builds a mobile "bubble suit" and sets off across the country to confess his love for her. As he races against time, Jimmy also fights for independence from his overprotective parents, who are determined to bring Jimmy back to his bubble room.
