STAR Plus Delivers Back-To-Back Hits With A New Lineup

With a host of new shows and a new primetime schedule, STAR Plus continues to deliver the biggest hits and the most popular programs, confirming its position as India's No.1 Hindi channel.

From Wed 5 August, STAR Plus will launch its new primetime schedule. From that date, viewers can look forward to a power packed Prime time of the most popular programs every week from Monday to Friday.

"Taking the opportunity of some block buster new show launches, STAR Plus's new schedule is better suited to the viewing patterns of our audience," says Sumantra Dutta, Country Head for STAR Middle East, Pakistan and Africa. "With the new program launches, STAR Plus continues to raise the bar & lead the way, delivering an entertaining mix of India's most popular shows."

The non-stop entertainment starts at 7:00pm, viewers can expect more drama with Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, a Romeo and Juliet-type romance about two star-crossed lovers. The drama continues at 7.30pm with the epic rags-to-riches saga Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat.

Justice is served at 8:00pm with the brand new season of the reality smash hit, Aap Ki Kachehri. back for an all-new second season. Former Director General of Police Kiran Bedi once again holds court as she rules on small-claims disputes. Stay tuned at 8.30pm for the romantic serial Sabki Laadli Bebo, the story of one woman's search for true love.

STAR PLUS subscribers can expect an hour of top-rating family dramas when Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai airs at 9:00pm followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Since debuting in Oct 2007, Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai has consistently topped the ratings while Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai remains one of the most popular shows on STAR PLUS.

At 10:00pm, it's time for secrets and lies to be revealed in the season block buster Sacch Ka Saamna. In this Indian version of The Moment of Truth, contestants stand to win a grand prize of 1 crore rupees (US$206,000) if they truthfully answer a series of personal questions. The show's debut episode smashed all expectations across all TV homes in India, ranking as 2009's No.1 non-fiction Hindi program.

Rounding out the evening is the all-new drama Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai. Premiering at 10.30pm on Wed 5 Aug, the inspirational tale follows Dhaani, a young woman who struggles to overcome prejudice and hardship after she's abandoned by her husband.
