Amul STAR Voice of India to wish the contestants and her presence was like a dream come true for the budding finalists, as they set the stage ablaze with their soul rendering performances to impress the Queen of Bollywood.
The episode was a duet special and the finalists performed to medley of Rani Mukherji’s hit numbers such as
Aati Kya Khandala, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai, Suno Na and
Laaga Chunnari Mein Daag.
The show started with the romantic title track of
Saathiya by Irfan and Toshi. The scintillating performance by Harshit and Priyani, on the peppy number
Koi Mil Gaya from Rani’s first super hit film
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai left the actress speechless. The talented duo - Abhaas and Ishmeet performed on the foot-tapping number of
Nach Baliye from the movie
Bunty Aur Babli. Enthralled by the mind-blowing performance, Abhaas received accolades from Rani that for her he is the Voice of India. She left Abhaas overwhelmed, as she declared that he should be her playback singer if she ever played a male character.
Truly mesmerised and awestruck by the talent on the show, Rani requested Priyani and Abhilasha to sing
Hum To Aise Hai Bhaiya from her latest movie and was grooving on the stage with the contestants. The judges also joined the dance and learnt a few
jhatkas and
matkas from Rani herself. As a token of their love and appreciation, all the contestants surprised Rani by presenting her with a huge teddy bear which completely swept her off her feet.
Rani gifted all the seven contestants a silver idol of Goddess Saraswati leaving them touched and motivated! She boosted their morale and confidence and told them that the blessings of the goddess will always be with them.
